June Elaine Marchand, 86, of Perrin Avenue, Seekonk, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the residence she had resided in her entire life. Born in Seekonk, Massachusetts on January 31, 1926, she was a daughter of the late George Marchand, Sr. and Doris (Thornton) Marchand. She graduated from Seekonk High School. Miss Marchand was employed as an assembler for Triangle Wire in Seekonk for many years prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church in Seekonk. Miss Marchand enjoyed spending time at the Seekonk Senior Center, leading a holistic lifestyle, gardening, caring for and receiving companionship from dogs and cats and reading and researching at the local library. She leaves four nieces: Leslie A. Sharpe of Attleboro; Mary Learned of Carlisle; Pamela Lessard of Newburyport and Dawn Marchand of El Dorado, Arkansas; several great nieces and nephews and extended family members. She was the sister of the late George Marchand and Earl Marchand. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Coyle Drive, Seekonk with the Rev. Thomas Rita, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro.
