June Rose (Blandin) Carroll, 87, of Williams Street, Lincoln, Rhode Island; a resident of Taunton and former resident of Norton, the state of Ohio and Canton, died on Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Taunton following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Laurence J. Carroll and was the former wife of the late Howard I. Morrison. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on June 30, 1924, she was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where she was a 1942 graduate of Attleboro High School. She earned her nursing degree from the Mount Auburn School of Nursing in Cambridge. Ms. Carroll was employed as a registered nurse for more than 20 years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts having worked at the Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton prior to her retirement in the late 1970s. She moved to Taunton almost 30 years ago and previously was a resident of Norton, the state of Ohio and Canton. Her favorite pastimes included knitting, cooking, exercising, sewing, taking cruises, listening to music, dancing and the treasured time spent with her beloved feline companions. She leaves five children: Nancy D. Shapiro of Falls Church, Virginia; Jeffery F. Morrison in California; Lisa J. Adams of Lincoln, Rhode Island; David J. Morrison of Norton and Carolyn N. Morrison of Raynham; four grandchildren; a sister: Mary Read of North Attleboro and several extended family members. She was the sister of the late Kenneth Blandin. Edward Healey, officiating. Burial will be private. Childrens room available during visitation and the funeral.
