Julio Jose Camilo, 53, of Pleasant Street, Attleboro, died on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at his residence surrounded by the love and care of his devoted family. He was the husband of Maria E. (Castillo) Camilo to whom he was married on August 23, 2005. Born in Brava, Cape Verde Island, on November 6, 1958, he was a son of Ana (Soito) Camilo of Rumford, Rhode Island and the late Jose Manuel Camilo. Mr. Camilo was a 1977 graduate of Brighton High School and later attended Rhode Island College. He was a resident of the City of Attleboro for the past five years having moved to the community from Pawtucket, Rhode Island where he was a resident for four years. Prior to moving to Rhode Island, Mr. Camilo was a resident of Seekonk for three years and was a former longtime resident of Malden. He was a self-employed contractor in the construction industry for many years. Mr. Camilo enjoyed saltwater fishing and loved to camp particularly at Greenfield State Park in New Hampshire. He devoted his life to his family and his world centered on creating memories with them. In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves four children: Jennifer Camilo in Florida; Jeremiah S. Camilo of Pawtucket, RI; Daphne Camilo in Pennsylvania and Joseph Camilo in Virginia; his grandchildren:. Juliano, Iyanna, Namiah and Jamy Camilo all of Pawtucket, RI; his siblings: Manuel Camilo of Randolph; Samuel Vieira in Brazil; Genevieve Camilo of Rockland; Candida Gomes of Rumford, RI; Maria Baptista in New Jersey; Inez Gutierrez in California; Isaura Silva in California and Julia DosReis in Florida. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, October 1, 2012 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street - Route 152, Attleboro. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
