Julie Marie (LeBlanc) Hammond, 94, of Victoria Court, York, Maine; formerly of Attleboro and North Attleboro; died peacefully at the Sentry Hill Nursing Home in York, Maine. She was the wife of the late Marshall B. Hammond who died on September 20, 1987. Born in Canada on March 29, 1917, Mrs. Hammond was a daughter of the late George and Delina (Richard) LeBlanc. She was raised and educated in North Attleboro and resided in that community until moving to the City of Attleboro almost 15 years ago. For the past five years, Mrs. Hammond resided with family in Georgia, Wilbraham, Massachusetts and York, Maine. She was a dedicated and devoted homemaker to her family. While residing in North Attleboro, Mrs. Hammond was a communicant of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and in Attleboro was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist. She leaves three children: Thomas E. Lorden of Powder Springs, Georgia; Anne E. Chappell of York, Maine and Jean Zenor of Wilbraham; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hammond was predeceased by all of her siblings. At her request visitation has been respectfully omitted. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 17, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street Route 152, Attleboro. There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to the commencement of the Funeral Mass. Following church services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Hammonds name and honor may be made to the charity of ones choice.
