Judith M. (Steers) DeLaiarro, 79, of Treasure Island Road, Plainville, died on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Robert P. DeLaiarro who died in 1971 and was the companion of Leonard L. Kerr for more than 40 years. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 28, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Liddell) Steers. She was raised and educated in Dedham having attended St. Mary's School and was a graduate of Dedham High School. She resided in Plainville for more than 30 years having moved to the community from Norfolk where she was a longtime resident. Mrs. DeLaiarro was employed as an Administrative Assistant for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years prior to her retirement. She had a lifelong love for horses and traveling, having enjoyed time spent at Myrtle Beach, Florida and Dolphin Island, Alabama. Judy's favorite pastimes included reading, gardening, downhill skiing, time spent at beaches, swimming and playing golf. In addition to her companion, she is survived by five children: Catherine Ravinski and her husband, Gary, of Norfolk; Judith Deveau and her husband, Marcel, of Whitefield, New Hampshire; Robert P. DeLaiarro and his wife, Lisa, of Plainville; Tammy E. Madden and her husband, Mark, of Plainville and David M. DeLaiarro of Plainville; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her siblings: Robert Steers and his wife, Mary, of North Attleboro; Sarah Clark of Plainville; Emily Bruno and her husband, Louis, of Dedham; Margaret Cutler of Hingham; Pauline Weeks and her husband, Harold, of Norfolk; Elizabeth Regan of Easton; Michael Steers of Stoughton; MaryAnn Campisano and her husband, Paul, of Mansfield and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Gathering and Visitation Celebrating Her Life on Saturday, February 7, 2015 anytime from 10:00 - 1:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
