Judith "Judy" Elaine (MacNeill) Bishop, 73, of Plainville, peacefully passed away at home on Monday, February 15, 2016. She was the beloved wife of William Alexander Bishop, to whom she was married on December 16, 1960.Born on February 19, 1942 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Clinton Rockwell MacNeill and Mildred May (Freeman) MacNeill.Judy was a graduate of King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham, MA, Class of 1960, and received her nursing education at Pondville Hospital Nursing School in Norfolk, MA. She was retired from her nursing career, having worked for ten years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, and previously at the Wrentham State Hospital and the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.She lived all of her life in Plainville, where she and her husband raised their family. Judy loved the beach and enjoyed time spent on Cape Cod, particularly in Yarmouth, West Dennis, Brewster, and Orleans. She had been a softball coach, and throughout her life enjoyed watching girls softball with her grandchildren. Above all, she loved her family: her children, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband, William, she is survived by her six cherished children: Judith Ann Bishop of Plainville, MA; John M. Bishop and his wife, Rebecca Bishop, of Cassadaga, NY; Robert W. Bishop of Plainville, MA; David A. Bishop of Plainville, MA; Jason S. Bishop and his wife, Tara L. Bishop, of Plainville, MA; and Andrea B. (Bishop) Giusti and her husband, Christopher J. Giusti, of North Attleboro, MA.She leaves her sister, Joyce E. (MacNeill) Hurder and her husband, Alden L. Hurder, Jr., of Freetown, MA; nineteen treasured grandchildren; eight beloved great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Judy long enjoyed the company of her late dog, "Brownie" and her late Dove bird, "Lovey", who was a special part of her life for twenty-five years.
