Judith Constance (Goewey) Alden, 80, of North Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 as she wished following a long battle with cancer with her loving son, Eric Alden, by her side. She was the wife of the late Edward Lee Alden to whom she was married for nearly 60 years at the time of his death June 8, 2019.
Born in Great Barrington, Massachusetts on June 27, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William Goewey and the late Constance (Fitzpatrick) Goewey. Raised and educated in Great Barrington, MA she was a graduate of Searles High School.
Mrs. Alden was employed as an office manager for Community Action, later called Community Services for 20 years.
Judi was a huge New York Yankees fan and loved country music, especially Johnny Cash and was an animal lover.
In addition to her beloved son with whom she resided, she leaves 4 other children and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the sister of Chuck Goewey of Falls Village, CT and Arlene Goewey of Sheffield, MA. She leaves 4 sisters in law: Debbie Goewey, wife of her late brother Bill of Sheffield, MA; Jane Goewey, wife of her late brother Bruce of Great Barrington, MA; Patricia (Alden) Carter and JoAnn (Alden) Skellie of Manchester, New Hampshire. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and a very special grandson: "Bits n Bits little man"
Services will be private.
