Joyce Mildred (Lolio) Udelson, 83, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of Maurice "Bob" Udelson, to whom she was married for over sixty years.Born on September 23, 1934 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Hope (Slavin) Lolio.A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, she worked for the former RI Hospital Trust Bank, was a Comptroller for Brown University, and for many years with her husband at the family business as the Treasurer of Premier Roll & Tool, Inc. She was a parishioner of St. Mark's Church in Attleboro Falls and previously at St. Brendan Church in Riverside and St. Pius V in Providence, R.I. She especially enjoyed the holiday Mass celebrations at St. Margaret Church in Rumford, RI. Joyce had a diversity of interests throughout her life. Her love of music came from her father, who was a musician. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, listening to her collection of records and attending stage shows and concerts. Joyce always enjoyed the adventure of travel. At a young age, she crossed the country by car, with her parents and sisters. With her husband, she traveled all around the United States and Aruba, Bermuda, Canada, Mexico, Portugal, Scotland, and Spain. With her young family, she spent summers at Pine Acres in Oakham, MA. She often vacationed with her dear sisters in the Berkshires, Vermont, Cape Cod, and to Florida, where she and her husband had a home in Coconut Creek. She was known to occasion a Black Jack table. More than anything, she loved cooking for her family and celebrating holidays together. In addition to her husband and best friend, Maurice, she leaves her loving children: Keith, his wife Lisa, of Attleboro, MA; Sharon, her husband Arthur, of FL; Blake, his wife Beth, of Bow, NH; Tracy and her husband, Scott, of Ashaway, RI. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Spencer, Griffin, Barry, Justin, Adam, David, Hayden, Zachary, Maxwell, and Clara, and was excitedly looking forward to the birth of her first great-grandchild next month. Joyce was the dear sister of Lillian McCrudden of Lincoln, RI; Grace DeLuise of Warwick, RI; and Marilyn DeNardo of Cranston, RI, and was predeceased by her sisters Lena Mills and Agnes Curvelo. She leaves her cherished nieces, nephews, godchildren and special friends, including all the new ones at The Branches, who have been so kind and caring.
