Joyce Ann (Nigro) Cloutier, 76, of Attleboro, MA passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro after a brief Illness. Born in Boston MA on August 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William A Nigro and the late Clara J (Piccuito) Nigro. Joyce was raised and educated in Quincy MA before moving to Attleboro where she was a resident since 1976.
Joyce worked for the Attleboro school lunch program for over 45 years. originally for the City of Attleboro, for Aramark for 28 years, and for Whitson's Culinary Group since 2009. Joyce loved her job and her "extended family" at Whitson's. She enjoyed having the summers off, but once August rolled around, she couldn't wait to go back to work.
She was a former communicant of the former St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro. Joyce is survived by her children: David G. Hall, and Donna Hall-Pommenville and her husband, Daniel; her brother, William A Nigro and his life partner, Kim; and her sister Debora Chaves and her husband, Joseph. She was the cherished grandmother of Dianne Parker and her husband Cory, Jessica Crowley and her husband Sean, David Hall and his wife Amanda, Gabrielle and Jameson Pommenville, John and Rose Hall, and great-grandmother of Madison and Christopher Hall and Brody and Savanna Crowley. She is also survived by her uncle Ronald Piccuito and his wife, Mary and many nephews, two great-nephews, and two great nieces.
Joyce was the wife of the late David Ward Hall and longtime companion and best friend of the late Ernest Russell "Russ" Oster who passed away in 2012. Joyce missed Russ dearly and her fondest memories were the times they spent together on vacation in New Hampshire. Joyce was also the beloved mom to many fur babies over the years. She is survived by her beloved kitty, Jasper and the late: Big Kitty, Little Kitty, Mindy, Ginger, Ally and Peanut. Joyce's greatest loves were her family, electronic gadgets and sci-fi television shows and movies. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend A Memorial Visitation on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA. A funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel".
Burial will be private.
