Joy Louise Elise Blais, 74, of Attleboro, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. She was the longtime, loving and beloved partner of the late Marie "Mia" Costello.Born on July 8, 1942 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late George H. Blais and the late Loretta (Latendre) Blais. A resident of Attleboro for the past ten years, she spent the early part of her life in Mansfield, on Bungay Lake. Leaving Mansfield in 1992, Joy moved to St. Croix for a brief period of time, eventually moving to Ft. Myers, FL. She worked for an aerospace company while living in Florida until her eventual retirement in Attleboro, MA. A kind and caring woman her entire life, Joy was loved by many. She enjoyed the ocean and the beach, cooking, dancing, and playing puzzle games on her tablet. She had a deep passion for animals, including her dear cat, "Molly". She is survived by her dear nephew, Michael R. Costello, and his wife Susan A. Costello of Rehoboth, MA, and her great niece, Kelley A. Costello, and her children, Cody P. Danz and Gavyn B. Bowlby, all of East Providence, RI. She also leaves Kasey L. McCoy, and he husband Josh McCoy of Crestview, FL; Jayden M. McCoy, and Penelope McCoy.
