Joshua "Josh" Sheldon Washington Smith, 28, of South Attleboro, MA, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at his home.
Josh was born on February 24, 1993, in Boston, MA. He was the beloved son of James Earl Smith and Founda (Allen) Washington Smith of Attleboro.
A graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and Bunker Hill Community College, Josh moved to the Attleboro area from Cambridge in 2014 and enjoyed working in the field of video editing.
A young man of faith, he was a member of Born Again Evangelist Outreach Ministry in Dorchester, MA. Josh was very involved in his profession, took great pride in having created and worked on his own YouTube channel, and was passionate about history. More than anything, he cherished his family and loved spending time with them.
In addition to his parents, Josh leaves his loving siblings: Robert A. Washington and his wife, Yvonne Washington, of Baltimore, MD; Tony M. Washington of Saugus, MA; Derrick D. Washington and his companion, Eun Han, of Somerville, MA; Wallace E. Washington and his wife, NaTasha Moneta Washington, of Cambridge, MA; William Hollaman of Dorchester, MA; Durelle Smith of Ellenwood, GA; Bridgette Smith of Ellenwood, GA; and Daria Smith of Ellenwood, GA. He leaves numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, his extended family, and many dear friends, especially Nicholas Sabatino, John Azel, Yusef Hersi, Rashard Jackson, and Robel Fitiwi.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday, December 16, 2021, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Graveside Service immediately following the Funeral service in North Purchase Cemetery, 825 N Main St, Attleboro, MA.
