Josephina Natalia (Cavalieri) Wightman, of Orne Street, North Attleboro, died on Saturday morning, December 10, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Richard Howard Wightman to who died on January 22, 2005. Born in Italy on December 23, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Esterina (Di Filippo) Cavalieri. She immigrated to the United States at the age of two and settled with her family in North Attleboro where she remained a resident since that time. She was a graduate of North Attleboro High School. Mrs. Wightman was employed as a quality control inspector for Texas Instruments in Attleboro for more than 40 years prior to her retirement in1988. She attended St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in North Attleboro with her family. Her favorite pastimes included cooking, enjoying nature, and traveling with her beloved sister-in-law, Esther. Throughout her life, her most cherished times were the ones spent with family. She will be forever remembered as a doting mother to her children and, in later years, to her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves a daughter: Laura Ann Wightman of North Attleboro; two sons: Richard S. Wightman of North Attleboro and George Aussant and his wife, Diane F. (Tremblay) Aussant, of Attleboro Falls; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anthony F. Tony Cavalieri, Sr., who was the former owner of Patsy Cavalieri & Son Construction. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with Rev. Deacon Robert Russell of the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette, Park Street, Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Childrens room available during visitation and the funeral service.
