Joseph Antonio Villa, Sr.

Joseph Antonio Villa, Sr., 72, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved companion of Donna A. Fernandes of Attleboro.Born in Esmolfe, Portugal on March 12, 1945, he was the son of the late Antonio Fereira Villa and the late Aldorn (Amaral) Villa.Joseph proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of North Attleboro High School and attended Community College of Rhode Island. He worked for many years as a Dispatcher for Quality Cab Company until his retirement in 2008.A resident of South Attleboro from 1998 until 2017, he truly enjoyed the simple things in life: playing the lottery, especially scratch tickets; and watching old movies and favorite television shows. He loved being with Donna, and enjoyed the faithful companionship of his three dogs: "Madison", "Bella", and "Teddy".Joseph was the beloved father of Donna Mine and the late Joseph Antonio Villa, Jr., and the brother of Luis Villa of South Attleboro, MA, Suzanne E. Villa, of Woonsocket, RI; the late Mary Villa; and the late Armond Villa. He was the adoring grandfather of Joseph Villa of Pawtucket, RI, and leaves several nieces and nephews.All services will be privately held.
