Joseph Rhodes Frye

Joseph Rhodes Frye, 99, of North Providence, RI, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Golden Crest Nursing Center in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor Helen (Hagen) Frye who died on February 24, 2013.
Born on April 30, 1920 in Scituate, RI, he was the son of the late William Frye and the late Mary (Spencer) Allen.
Joseph proudly and honorably served our country as a Merchant Seaman from 1942 until 1945. He then worked for many years as a truck driver and warehouseman for Gorham's and Atlantic Tubing in Rhode Island before retiring in 1985.
A longtime resident of North Providence, he previously lived in Warwick, RI and Coventry, RI.
Joseph leaves his loving children: Paula J. McKee of Warwick, RI, and Pamela Johnson of Cranston, RI. He was the brother of Walter Allen of Warwick, RI; Shirley Dombrowski of Coventry, RI; and Eleanor Lennon of Coventry, RI.
All services will be private.
