Joseph Christian Bogacz, 43, of Nora Way, South Attleboro, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 21, 2012 upon arrival at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. He was the husband of Josephine R. (Allen) Bogacz to whom he was married on October 7, 1995. Born in Utica, New York on June 12, 1969, he was a son of Joseph and Ronda (Boyce) Bogacz both of Clinton, New York. He was raised and educated in Clinton where he was a 1987 graduate of Clinton High School. Mr. Bogacz spent his career in the field of loss prevention and most recently was employed by the CVS Corporation in Woonsocket, Rhode Island as a loss prevention manager and prior to that position was a loss prevention manager for LPI in Canton. He resided in South Attleboro since 1999. His favorite pastimes included fresh and salt water fishing, cooking for family and friends, rollerblading, bicycling, playing ice hockey but his most treasured times were those creating lifelong memories with his daughter, Rylea. In addition to his wife of almost 17 years and his parents, he leaves his nine-year old daughter: Rylea Nicole Bogacz at home in South Attleboro; two sisters: Elizabeth Zyla of Rome, New York and Kelly Nolan of Utica, New York and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 11:00 AM - 12:45 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. For those in need of local transportation to visitation simply call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis service. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral immediately following visitation on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Kelly K. Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro, officiating. Burial will be private in the Newell Burying Ground, South Attleboro. Children's room available during visitation and the funeral. Please do not send flowers.
