Joseph Baptista, Jr., 70, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 in Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Dianna Lynn (Rose) Baptista, to whom he was married on July 5, 1969.Born on December 4, 1946 in Taunton, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph Baptista, Sr. and the late Margaret (Taggert) Baptista.A resident of Attleboro for the past thirty years, he worked as a Chef at the Attleboro Union Station Restaurant before retiring. He loved spending time with his cherished wife, children, and his family. He treasured time with his grandchildren. Handy with just about everything, he enjoyed working on cars with his son, and the companionship of his dogs: "Sasha", Raven", and "Bosco".In addition to his wife, he leaves his beloved children: Dawn M. Baptista; Joseph C. Baptista III; and Kelly A. (Baptista) Robitaille, all of Attleboro, MA. He was the adoring grandfather of Aaron J. Sanders and Ayden M. Robitaille. Joseph was the brother of Frances A. Ulak of Norton, MA; Margaret "Peggie" Harwell of FL; James E. Baptista of Lynn, MA; George Baptista; and the late Eleanor Tansey.
