Jose Francisco Rojas

Jose Francisco Rojas, 67, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Edna I. (DeLeon) Rojas, to whom he was married on August 9, 1975.Born on September 15, 1950 in Guatemala, he was the son of the late Guillermo and Josefa (Hernandez) Rojas.Raised and educated in Guatemala, Jose worked for ten years as a technician for Sterngold Dental in Attleboro, MA.A resident of Pawtucket for the past fourteen years, he previously lived in Attleboro, MA, where he was a longtime devout member of Good News Bible Chapel.A kindly, caring man of great faith and devotion to God, and a good friend to everyone he knew, Jose loved so many things: Above all, he loved his dearest wife, Edna; his treasured children, and the grandchildren he adored and on whom he enjoyed playing tricks; animals of every kind; nature; music; the Red Sox and the Patriots; jelly sticks; the satisfaction of having donated many shoes over the years to those in need in his native Guatemala; and simply life itself. Jose had a special place in his heart for his cat, "Chimmy" and his granddog, "Sadie".In addition to his wife, he leaves his children: Hoslee F. Rojas and his companion, Keri Davock, of Bristol, RI; Edemi "Emi" B. Sosa and her husband, Walter Sosa, of Attleboro, MA; and Genessa E. Rojas and her fiancée, Daniel McCoy, of Pawtucket, RI. He was the proud grandfather of Alayna R. Rojas, Madilyn K. Rojas, Avery L. Rojas, Karina I. Sosa, and Lucas J. Sosa. Jose leaves his cousins Hilda Soto and Clemente Soto, and many dear friends, both near and far.Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Jose by gathering for a Visitation on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Burial services will immediately follow in North Purchase Cemetery, 825 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
