Jonathan Fletcher Berry “Jon” 32 of Mansfield, MA., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. He was the beloved fiancé of Caitlin (Cait) Turpin.
Born on August 23, 1992, in Fairfax, Virginia; he was the loving son of Cindy (Fletcher) Berry and the late James L. Berry.
For the past decade, Jon and Cait built a life filled with love, laughter, and, of course, their dog, Slate. Slate was always a constant source of love, loyalty, and companionship to Jon—his adventure buddy.
Jon attended High School at Academy at the Lakes class of 2010 in Land O’ Lakes FL. He then headed north for college and was a proud graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 2015. Jon began his career in Supply Chain & Logistics. A solid foundation at Amazon led him to success throughout his career. He was currently proud to be Vice President of Operations at Total Boat in Bristol, RI.
Jon embedded himself in the Mansfield community where he and Cait resided. He was a Trustee of the Mansfield Elks Lodge #2633 and embraced volunteer opportunities.
Jon shared a passion for traveling—especially cruising—and loved discovering new places. Whether it was trying out new restaurants, checking out local breweries or a spontaneous road trip, Jon truly cherished life. You could always find Jon cheering on the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Lightning, watching NASCAR, or enjoying the excitement of a live game.
What really made Jon’s life special was the people he shared it with. He was a source of happiness, laughter and compassion to all who know him and was always present when needed. Jon will be missed by countless family members and friends. He made a positive impact on anyone he met.
Along with his fiancé Cait, mother Cindy and beloved dog Slate, Jon is survived by his twin sister, Rebecca Berry and her partner Claire Brummeler of Woodstock, Georgia; maternal grandparents, Moddy and Daphney Fletcher of Greenland, New Hampshire; Aunt Susan and Dan Audet of Wells, ME. He is also survived by his future-in-laws, David and Therese Turpin of West Harwich, Nancy and Richard Powell of Worcester, Maryellen and Gregory Smith of Northboro, Kristen Turpin of Westboro, Meghan Rice and James Donovan of Hopkinton, and Patrick Rice and Kayla Hauser of Burlington; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Brendan, Julia, Trevor, Drew, Logan, Riley, Maggie, Jo and Chloe. He was also the future son in-law of the late Nancy and Alan Patchell. Additionally, Jon is survived by countless family members and friends who loved him very much.
Family and friends are warmly welcome to attend calling hours Monday, March 3rd, 2025 from 12:00pm-3:00pm at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Attleboro Falls, MA. For those attending, in honor of Jon's love of the ocean and his beloved Mass Maritime, shades of blue are suggested, not required.
