John A. Woodward, 60, of Lake Shore Drive, Hopkinton, died suddenly and unexpectedly upon arrival at Milford Hospital on April 28, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Hiroko (Kawabe) Woodward to whom he was married in Boston, MA on May 1, 1981. Born in Tonawanda, New York on September 11, 1953, he was a son of the late John F. and Doris A. (Lembke) Woodward. He was a 1971 graduate of Kenmore High School in New York and earned his bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Woodward was currently a self-employed computer consultant and previously was employed by Prime Computer in Framingham as a computer programmer for five years. He resided in Hopkinton for the past 36 years and enjoyed dedicating his time and service to the community. His special interests were computer science and technology. In addition to his wife, he leaves three children: Ken Woodward, Nikki Woodward and Mike Woodward; three siblings and numerous extended family members and friends. Funeral services and burial were conducted privately.
