John W. Walker

John William Walker, 82, of Norwood, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA. Born on June 28, 1935 in Norwood, he was the son of the late Arthur Waldemar Walker and the late Grace M. (Shackley) Walker.John was a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1955.A lifelong resident of Norwood, John worked for many years as a Sales Representative in the construction business before retiring. John was a longtime member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) in Norwood. A kind and caring man, he enjoyed gardening, watching football, and, as a younger man, volunteered his time and efforts in youth sports programs.John was the dear brother of Arthur W. Walker III and his wife, Janice Walker, of Walpole, MA; Barbara (Walker) Jones of Pembroke, MA; Richard Arnold Walker and his wife, Mary Walker, of Falmouth, MA; and the late Dorothy (Walker) Wallace. He was the former husband of Sally (Jackson) Walker and Margaret (Groden) Walker.All services will be privately held.
