John Allan Terris

John Allan Terris, 75, of Emory Street, Attleboro, died on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Golden Living Center of Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Joanne D. (Boss) Terris. He was born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, Canada on October 26, 1936. He was raised and educated in Canada and resided there until moving to the United States and settling in Attleboro 48 years ago. Mr. Terris was employed as a jewelry worker for the former L. G. Balfour Company in Attleboro for almost 40 years prior to his retirement in 1999. He was a sports enthusiast and particularly liked the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadians. Mr. Terris enjoyed playing bingo. He leaves a son: Gary A. L. Terris with whom he resided in Attleboro; a brother-in-law: Gary Boss and his wife, Eleanor Boss, of Attleboro; three nephews: Mark Boss of Seekonk; Lenny Boss in Michigan and Matt Boss of Attleboro and several extended family members and friends. He was the uncle of the late Michael Boss and was predeceased by all of his siblings. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 5:00 8:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the DYER-LAKE FUNERAL HOME, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Burial will be in Canada. Childrens room available during visitation.
