John Joseph Rizzotto Sr., 81, was a resident of Attleboro. He passed away on June 22nd. Having been born on November 6, 1931 in Boston and raised in the Roxbury neighborhood of the City, Mr. Rizzotto was the son of the late Gaetano Rizzotto and late Grace (Bisazza) Rizzotto. An Army veteran of the Korean War, Rizzotto then honorably dedicated himself as a Boston Police Officer. He lived in Wrentham before moving to Attleboro three years ago. He was an active member of the Retired Boston Police Officer's Association, including serving as member of the Board of Directors, and he was a member of the National Fraternal Order of Police. He was also a member of the Retired Local Teamsters (25). His love for his Australian Shepherd dogs was great, as was his love of motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson's. Mr. Rizotto is survived by his beloved wife Nancy Blake as well as five children: JoAnn M. Rizzotto of Stoughton; Mary Anne (Rizzotto) McKay of Westford; John J. Rizzotto, Jr. of Vero Beach, FL; Cheryl Anne Rizzotto of Attleboro; and Kerri Anne Rizzotto of Boston; brothers: Anthony J. Rizzotti and Santo Rizzotto rest in peace, and are survived by sisters Mary J. Ensko of Harwich, Gloria Iula of Randolph and Anna Carr of Naples, FL survive the deceased. Sister-in-Law Marion A. (Shaughnesy) Rizzotti of Norwell also survives the deceased. A memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 4:00 -7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, North Attleboro. A memorial service will immediately follow.
