John "Johnny" Francis Pantano, 77, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the beloved companion of Fran A. McMahon with whom he made his home.
Born on November 6, 1943 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late John Phillip Pantano and the late Jane C. (McDevitt) Pantano.
Raised and educated in Boston, John was a graduate of Brighton High School, Class of 1960, and Bentley College. He worked as an accountant for The Boston Globe for twenty-five years before retiring in 2001.
A resident of North Attleboro for the past twenty years, he was an avid reader who enjoyed golf, cooking, working around the house, and occasional trips to the casino. More than anything, John simply loved spending time with Fran and with her daughter, Andrea.
In addition to the love of his life, Fran, he leaves his children: Deborah Jean Thompson; Laurie Ann Pantano; and Justin Michael Pantano; and Fran's children: Michael T. McMahon and Andrea L. McMahon. John leaves several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Christine Cormier and leaves several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Visitation has respectfully been omitted. Funeral services and burial will be private.
