John "Jack" Thomas McCormack, Jr., 87, of Attleboro, MA; formerly of North Attleboro, MA, passed away shortly after arrival at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island on August 13, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Anne "Anna" Marie (Restino) McCormack to whom he was married on July 25, 1959.
Born in Attleboro, MA on May 29, 1938, he was a son of the late John T. McCormack, Sr. and the late Evelyn (Butcher) McCormack. He was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where he graduated from Attleboro High School - Class of 1956.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1960.
Mr. McCormack was employed as a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic for W. Walsh Corporation in Attleboro, MA for many years prior to his retirement.
He will be lovingly remembered for his woodworking abilities, stained glass creations and love for his family. Some of his favorite pastimes included fresh water fishing, playing golf and time spent on his boat on the waters of Cape Cod.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two children: Douglas McCormack of North Attleboro, MA and Sandra Kogut and her husband, Kevin Kogut, of Attleboro, MA; his cherished grandchildren: Douglas, Steven, Blake, Vinny and Erica; great grandchildren: Vincent, Jonathan, Leon, Lukas and Lainey; his sister: Emily Mosher of Attleboro, MA and several extended family members and dear friends.
He was the father of the late Dolores "Dee" McCormack who died in 2013 and John "Jack" T. McCormack, III who died in 2023 and was the brother of the late Malcolm McCormack, Evelyn Grace Roca and Wayne E. McCormack.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation with Veterans Honors on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel".
Private inurnment with military honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
