John Michael Maloney, Jr., 82, of East Washington Street, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, January 3, 2013. He was the husband of Sarah E. (McBlain) Maloney. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 26, 1930, he was a son of the late John M. Maloney, Sr. and Martha (Pottle) Maloney. He resided in North Attleboro for many years after having resided in Wrentham. He earned an Associate's Degree in Business Management from Fisher College. Mr. Maloney was employed as a die maker for Engelhard Industries in Plainville for many years prior to his retirement. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. His favorite pastimes included bowling and fresh water fishing. In addition to his wife, he leaves two children: Martha A. Brush of Norton and John M. Maloney III of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Debra E. Ayoun who died on August 6, 2010. Public visitation is respectfully omitted. Family and friends will be invited to attend a committal service with military honors on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 1:30 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, MacArthur Boulevard, Bourne.
