John Francis Lynch, 87, of North Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by love on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island where he had been admitted days earlier.
Born in Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland, on May 29, 1934, he was a son of the late Cornelius Lynch and the late Ellen "Nellie" (Moynihan) Lynch. He was raised and educated in his native Ireland and later emigrated to England where he was a resident for several decades. He moved to the United States twenty years ago and was quite proud of becoming a United States citizen.
In England, Mr. Lynch was employed as a builder and truck driver for many years prior to his retirement.
A true gentleman, he was proud of his Irish ancestry and was a devout and proud Catholic as a parishioner of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - Sacred Heart in North Attleboro, MA where he served as an usher. He frequently attended Mass at the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette in Attleboro, MA.
Among his relatives and friends left to mourn his loss are his children: John and Patricia in Ireland; Eileen and Margaret in England; his siblings: Tony, Christy and Dolly and many friends including his caregiver: Margaret Quigley and her family of Attleboro, MA. He leaves many extended family members and friends locally and in England and Ireland.
He was the father of the late Maureen and was the brother of the late Maura, Patricia, and Donal.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mary, Park Street, North Attleboro, MA on Friday, July 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.
