John Anthony Luiz, 32, of Seekonk, MA, passed away on March 11, 2021 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the husband of Amanda L. (Pelkey) Luiz to whom he was married on September 21, 2013.
Born in Attleboro, MA on May 14, 1988, he was a son of Lisa A. (Sargent) Luiz of Seekonk, MA, and Andrew Luiz in Florida. He was educated in the City of Attleboro and was a 2008 graduate of Attleboro High School. He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Seekonk, MA.
He was employed as a landscaper for the past two years for Grey Hat Landscaping in Seekonk, MA.
John loved motocross, dirt bikes and cars. He was a lifelong animal lover and had a special kinship with his beloved dog, "Jade".
Loved by all, he will be remembered for his charm and for the love for his cherished son, Anthony.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves a son: Anthony D. Luiz of Seekonk, MA; his sister: Laura L. Luiz and her fiancé, Joshua Aguiar, of Attleboro, MA; a nephew: Brayden M. Aguiar of Attleboro, MA; his paternal grandparents: Anthony Luiz and his wife, Vivian (Gingras) Luiz, of Wildwood, Florida; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. He leaves many dear friends including his childhood best friends: Richard Wolfe, Gary Sidebotham, and Shane Williams. He was the maternal grandson of the late Joan L. (Roberts) Sargent.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing, the use of facemasks, and capacity limitations, family and friends are cordially invited to honor John by attending Visitation in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will follow visitation on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.
Burial will be private.
