John Correia Jr, 75, of Attleboro, MA, died on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke, MA, where he had resided for the past three years.
Born on July 7, 1946, he was the son of the late John Joseph Correia, Sr. and the late Emily Frances (Rodrigues) Correia.
John was a graduate of Attleboro High School and joined the U.S. Army in 1966, where he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter Medal. John was honorably discharged from the Army in 1968 just in time to attend the Woodstock music festival soon after.
John lived most of his life on the family farm and took great care of his parents as they grew older. He loved to travel and was often seen riding motorcycles with friends. He spent many summers on Cape Cod and many winters in the Florida Keys.
He leaves behind his son, Steve, Steve's wife Casey, granddaughters, Sophia, and Scarlet, and many, many friends across the country.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service for John on a date to be announced at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the charity of one's choice.
