John Edward Desiderio

July 1, 1941 — April 18, 2025

John E. Desiderio, 83, of North Attleboro, MA passed away at the HopeHealth Hospice on April 18, 2025, in Providence, Rhode Island the day following his admission. He was the beloved husband of Edith "Edi" M. (Wells) Desiderio.

Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on July 1, 1941, he was a son of the late Amadeo Desiderio and the late Dorca (Blacquier) Desiderio.

He proudly served in the United States Army from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1963.

Among John's work history, he was the former owner and operator of a forklift repair business.

He and his wife attended the First Congregational "Old Town" Church in North Attleboro, MA.

In earlier years he was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America in Malden and enjoyed all types of fishing, bicycle repair and camping. He was a "professional Santa" and loved the Christmas season.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter: Deanna Bourassa and her husband, Robert Bourassa, of Attleboro, MA and a grandson: Ryan Bedard of Attleboro, MA.

He also leaves his beloved canine companion: "Chewy".

Inurnment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA will be private. There will be no public services.
