John Joseph Denis, Sr.

John J. Denis Sr., 95 passed away at the Hospice Health Hulitar Center in Providence on Monday, November 6, 2023 of dementia.
He was the son of Leo and Ethel (Mack) Denis. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Trieste, Italy where he met his wife Ida Parente whom he was married to for 69 years, until her death in 2018. He is preceded by his siblings Leo Denis, Helen Stanhope and Dorothy (Babe) Wild.
John was an Attleboro Firefighter for 32 years and sexton at the Second Congregational Church of Attleboro. He is survived by his children, Leslie Baptist, John "Dino" Denis, Stephanie McMahon, Mark Denis, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grand-children. He is also the father of the late Michael Denis, Elizabeth (Bette) Cataldo and grandson, Michael Dias.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to the Funeral Mass. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
