John Robert Chapman

John Robert Chapman, 24, of Attleboro, MA passed away unexpectedly at his residence on June 20, 2024.  He was the husband of Makayla M. (White) Chapman to whom he was married on December, 16, 2023.
Born in Attleboro, MA on February 15, 2000, he was a son of Tracy L. (Lanagan) Cofsky of Franklin, MA and the late Clark F. Chapman.
He studied welding and was a graduate of Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School.
John recently began employment with Lisco Irrigation in Attleboro, MA as an irrigation technician.
He attended Silver City Baptist Church in Taunton, MA.
His favorite pastimes included time spent at the shooting range and making model boats, planes and tanks.  He was a very patriotic man.  However, the most cherished moments were those spent in the company of his loving family.
John loved history and time spent on the water.  He was a member of the Lazy Loopers Flying Club in Wrentham.
A talented artist, he also enjoyed creating music on the guitar and playing video games.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves his brothers: Michael Cofsky, Jr. and his wife, Danielle, of Nashua, NH and Michael Chapman in Virginia; his sisters: Casey Chapman in Texas; Amanda Ward in Texas; Rebecca Tabino in Pennsylvania and Michelle English in Georgia; his nephew: Jasper; his mother-in-law: Karen Guinean of Middleboro, MA; his grandmother-In-Law and grandfather-In-Law: Randall and Kathrine Folkwein of Attleboro, MA; his aunts and uncles: Robert and Tracey Lanagan, Jr.; Robin and Brian Bryson; Marianne and Barry Shanette Bournazian; Tammy C. Lanagan Davit; Alan and Tara Lanagan; Louise and Mark Chapman Winheim; Kay and Hank Morgan and Elsie Chapman Davis and 21 cousins.
He was the nephew of the late Mark E. Lanagan.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a funeral service at 4:00 pm at the conclusion of visitation.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John's name and memory can be made to any non-profit organization benefiting veterans.
