John Michael Burchill, 53, of North Attleboro, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Jean M. (Shruhan) Burchill and the cherished father of Maggie E. Burchill.Born on November 21, 1962, in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Robert F. Burchill and the late Eugenia M. (Dubuque) Burchill. John was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1980, and a resident of North Attleboro for the past nineteen years. He was employed as a Bus Driver for W.T. Holmes Bus Services in Norfolk, MA for seventeen years. He was a communicant of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church in North Attleboro. John was a kind, humble and generous man who, if you were to meet him as a stranger, you would leave as a friend. He was a dedicated Patriots fan, an avid reader, and a wonderful cook who delighted in cooking for family and friends, with whom he loved spending time. John enjoyed fishing, time spent in Dennis Port on Cape Cod, and his faithful dog, Bella. Above all, the pride and joy of John's life was his dear daughter, Maggie. In addition to his wife and daughter, John is survived by his brother, Robert Burchill and his wife, Joan Burchill, of Bellingham, MA; his brother, Kevin Burchill and his wife, Jane Burchill, of Martha's Vineyard, MA; his sister, Jeanne (Burchill) Luiz and her husband, Michael Luiz, of New Bedford, MA; and his brother, Brian Burchill and his wife, Debbie Burchill, of New Bedford, MA. He leaves his sisters and brothers-in law: Darlene M. (Shruhan) Waitkevich and Mark Waitkevich of Norfolk, MA; Stephanie A. (Shruhan) Turner and Rusty Turner of Attleboro, MA; and Denise M. (Shruhan) Petit and Mark Petit of North Attleboro, MA; and his father-in-law and his wife: Edward Shruhan and Maureen Shruhan of Plainville, MA. John leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his extended family.John was the son-in-law of the late Sheila A.
