Jody Francis Norton, 58, of Plainville, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his home.
Born on March 10, 1962 in Attleboro, he was the son of the late Everett S. Norton Sr. and the late Edith (Phinney) Norton.
A resident of Plainville for most of his life, Jody was a skilled carpenter and roofer and the owner of the former Norton Construction Company. He also worked for a number of construction companies in the area.
An avid football and NASCAR fan, he enjoyed working on cars, and being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Jody was the loving father of Holly M. Norton of Attleboro, MA, Danielle E, Norton of Attleboro, MA; Jonathan E. Norton and his wife, Becky, of Attleboro, MA; and Sean F. Norton of Weymouth, MA. He was the proud grandfather of Kaden Harrison, Olivia Norton, and Everett Norton III. Jody was the brother of Everett Steve Norton Jr. and his wife, Penny, of Norton, MA; Debra Norton of Staterod, NC; Katie Martin and her husband, John, of Pittsfield, NH; Dolly Germain and her husband, Mike, of North Attleboro, MA; Bonnie Norton of Swampscott, MA; Marcy Blais of Marlboro, MA; the late William "Billy" Norton and the late David K. Norton. He was the former husband of Colleen (O'Connor) Norton of Attleboro, MA. He leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, his extended family, and many good friends.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
