Jo Anne M. Valente, 77, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2019 at her home.
Born on July 17, 1942 in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Valente and Lillian D. (Flamion) Valente.
A graduate of Notre Dame High School, Class of 1960, she worked for many years for Pawtucket Credit Union before retiring.
A woman of faith, she loved music and was a piano teacher and musical director. Jo Anne served as the organist and choir director for the former St. Joseph's Church in Attleboro for many years, and at St. Theresa's Church in Pawtucket, RI. She cherished spending time with her many dear friends who will miss her.
Jo Anne was the dear sister of Michael Valente of Bridgewater, MA, and Richard D. Valente and his wife, Gina Valente, of Cranston, RI. She leaves one nephew and four nieces.
Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Jo Anne on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 71 Linden St. Attleboro, MA 02703.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jo Anne to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
