Joan Cooper Rhinehart, 83, of Morningside Avenue, Natick, died on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland. She was the wife of the late George Gordon Rhinehart to whom she was married on October 15, 1955 and who died on November 8, 1992. Born in New Haven, Connecticut on March 29, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Helen Amelia (Meffert) Cooper. She was a graduate of Pelham (NY) Memorial High School and earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from Mount Holyoke. Mrs. Rhinehart was an artist who specialized in pastel portraiture. She resided in Natick for the past 32 years having moved to the community from Wellesley where she had been an 18 year resident. She was a member of the Wellesley Village Congregational Church. Family members include three children: Julie Anderson, Dr. Elizabeth Rhinehart and Richard Rhinehart; two grandchildren and her siblings: Judith Healy and William Cooper. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service Celebrating Her Life on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Wellesley Village Congregational Church followed by a reception to follow in the church.
