Joan M. Pinkos

Joan M. (Milligan) Pinkos, 88 of Norton, MA., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Life Care Center in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Pinkos.
Born in Providence, RI on September 9, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lucy (Taylor) Milligan.
Joan received her nursing degree from the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in 1956. From 1960 to 1970, she worked in the private practice of Dr. Ronald Germain, an Attleboro pediatrician. She dedicated herself to this profession for many years, from 1976 - 2001 she worked as an occupational health nurse for Engelhard Industries and was an active member of the RI Association of Occupational Health Nurses (RIAOHN) for many years. She later transitioned to part-time employment for the Wellness Company until her retirement at the age of eighty.
Her favorite pastimes included scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting and playing golf.
She and her retired nurse friends got together to play dominoes on a monthly basis for many years.
She is survived by her loving children, Beth A. Pinkos of Norton, MA., David Pinkos and his wife Julie of Boise, Idaho and Melissa Quirk and her husband Kevin of Attleboro, MA. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kristen Eggers, Robert Pinkos, Paige Quirk and Zachary Quirk and dear great-grandchildren, Jaryn Eggers, Sully Eggers and Madison Pinkos.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm on Sunday, April 21, 2024, in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:30 pm in the "Memorial Chapel".
Burial will be private at Newell Cemetery in South Attleboro, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name and honor may be made to the Episcopal Conference Center at http://www.eccri.org/support .
