Jimmy Edward Honeycutt, Sr., 51, of Cumberland Avenue, Attleboro, died unexpectedly at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on Saturday, December 22, 2012. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on June 22, 1961, he was a son of the late Glenn E. and Marjorie J. (Kinney) Honeycutt. He was raised and educated in Attleboro where he was a 1979 graduate of Attleboro High School. Mr. Honeycutt was a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro. Prior to becoming injured, he was a self-employed house painter in the greater Attleboro area for many years. A devout sports fan, he loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots particularly. A lifelong lover of animals, Mr. Honeycutt's truest passion was the time spent with his beloved family in particular his cherished nieces and nephews. He leaves two sons: Jimmy E. Honeycutt, Jr. and Scotty Honeycutt both of Attleboro; two sisters: Cathy Joan Coburn of Attleboro and Fonda J. Mooney of Attleboro; a brother: Jeffery C. Honeycutt of Franklin and numerous nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service in Celebration of His Life on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Second Congregational Church, Park Street, Attleboro with the Rev. F. Vernon Wright, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth. Following church services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship, refreshments and remembrance in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Honeycutt's name may be made to the Attleboro Animal Shelter, PO Box 592, Attleboro, MA 02703 in honor of his love for animals.
