Jeremy Scott Newell

Jeremy Scott Newell, 39, of Mansfield, MA, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017. He was the beloved son of Scott W. Newell of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Patricia M. (McKenna) Newell of Winchester, NH, and the loving companion of Erica J. Varga of Mansfield, MA. Jeremy was born on July 10, 1977 in Hudson, NY. A resident of Mansfield for the past ten years, he previously lived in Winchester, NH.A graduate of Thayer High School, Class of 1995, he enjoyed work as a Cabinet Maker for ten years for Mediterranean Custom Cabinets in West Bridgewater, MA. Jeremy enjoyed fishing, playing basketball in his younger years, and had a special fondness for animals, especially dogs and horses. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents and his companion, Jeremy is survived by his three cherished children: Brittany M. Newell, Jasmine L. Newell, and Jeremy Scott Newell, Jr., all of Keene, NH. He was the brother of Chris J. Newell of Edgewater, FL; Joshua T. Newell of North Walpole, MA; and Sue Newell of New Smyrna Beach, FL.  He leaves several nephews and many dear friends. Services will be private.In lieu of flowers, Jeremy's family would appreciate donations made in his memory to a local animal shelter of one's choice.
