Jennie L. (Sargent) LeMay, 56, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at her home with her family at her side. She was the wife of Timothy Arthur LeMay.
Born on March 9, 1963 in Seattle, WA, Jennie was the daughter of Kay Joyce (Tingley) Sargent of Attleboro and the late Harvey Aaron Sargent.
A graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1981, she received her Associate of Arts degree in Interior Merchandising from Dean College, and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. She was employed for the past sixteen years as an Americas Field Operations Specialist for the Waters Corporation in Milford, MA.
Jennie was raised and educated in Attleboro, where she remained a resident for most of her life. She was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting acrylics, sewing, and cooking, and loved the beaches of New England and Florida. A woman of great strength and energy, she painted the exterior of her home even after having been diagnosed with her illness several years ago. She was a truly generous and giving woman who was a longtime successful fundraiser, especially for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. More than anything, Jennie treasured her children and family, and cherished spending time with them.
In addition to her husband and her mother, she leaves her loving children: Timothy A. LeMay Jr. and his wife, Heather (Screnci) LeMay, of Rutland, MA; Penny Toothaker and her husband, Todd Toothaker, of Medway, MA; and Winter Sargent of Somerset, MA. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Devin, Taylor, and Nathan LeMay; Todd, Ashley and Cynthia Toothaker; Jayson Follansee; and Ryan Brunelle. Jennie was the dear sister of Joyce K. Ellington and her husband, Joseph D. Vella, of Mesa, AZ; Lynn F. Sargent-Kutsch of Attleboro, MA; Bessie M. Sargent and her companion, John Largey of Wellfleet, MA; Patti A. Ellis and her husband, Alan L. Ellis, of Plainville, MA; and Brenda J. Sargent and her companion, Glenn Maynard, of Attleboro, MA. She leaves numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, her extended family, and many dear friends.
