Jeannette A. (Bergeron) Gingras, 95, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 27, 2023, with her family be her side at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Gingras and the loving mother of the late Gail Delle Fave.
Born in South Attleboro, MA, on January 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Albert Bergeron and Emilia (Pelland) Bergeron.Jeannette was employed at Craft Inc. and Texas Instruments in Attleboro for many years before retiring. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she treasured her family and always put them first. Jeannette truly lived a good story.
She was a warm, caring, fun-loving and very funny person who simply couldn't help but be loved by others. She loved music and dancing, and for years enjoyed dining out weekly with her friends, then afterwards meeting at one of their houses for games. Jeannette liked playing the penny slots and occasionally going to Las Vegas to spend time at the casinos with her sister, Blanch. She loved to travel, including to Hawaii and on a cruise with her daughter. Jeannette and her husband spent many winters at their home in Ft. Myers, FL, where they made many good friends.
More than anything, Jeannette loved her family, including her extended family at Life Care Center of Attleboro, where she spent the last three years of her life and where she was so very happy.
She is survived by her loving children: Diane Gingras of Barnstable, MA, and Lloyd R. Gingras and his wife, Penny, of Mansfield, MA. She leaves her cherished grandchildren: Dawn Keene and Paul Gingras; her dear great-granddaughter, Courtney Gillis and her husband, Justin; and her son in-law, James Fallon. She was the devoted sister of the late Gerard Bergeron, Leo Bergeron, Lucien Bergeron, Rita Fishbach, and Blanche Rainville; and leaves her stepsister, Constance Duquette and stepbrother, Armond DuBois; and her grandson-in-law, Scott Keene.
Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic Street, South Attleboro, MA.
Burial will be private alongside her dear late husband in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
