Jeannette M. (Desautel) Desautels, 90, of Ralph Street, North Attleboro; formerly of Killarney Estates, Taunton Street, Plainville and Bolton, Connecticut; died surrounded by her loving family at her side on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro where she resided since September 2010. She was the wife of the late Joseph Nap Napoleon Desautels to whom she was married in August 1972 and who died on June 16, 2001. Born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts on November 5, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Laura (Desautel) Desautel. She was raised and educated in North Attleboro. Mrs. Desautels resided in Bolton, Connecticut for more than 35 years prior to returning to the area and settling in Plainville where she resided from 2001-2009 when she returned to her native community of North Attleboro. Mrs. Desautels was employed as a waitress for many years at numerous restaurants in the greater Attleboro area and Bolton, Connecticut prior to her retirement. In North Attleboro she was a communicant of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and in Bolton was a communicant of St. Maurice Roman Catholic Church. Her favorite pastimes included creating crafts, square dancing and playing cards. She was a lifelong animal lover and ardent Boston Red Sox fan. Mrs. Desautels leaves three daughters: Jeanne L. Ayoun and her husband, Richard E. Ayoun, of North Attleboro; Elayne E. Trombley and her husband, Allen F. Trombley, of North Attleboro and Laura A. Leard of Plainville; two granddaughters: Denise A. Leard of Douglas and Meagan L. Leard of North Attleboro and several extended family members and friends. She was the sister of the late Leo Desautel, Henry Desautel and Leah Denzer. Private visitation will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Park Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. David A. Costa, Pastor, officiating. There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to the commencement of the funeral Mass. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 1:30 PM at the Bolton Center Cemetery, Hebron Road, Bolton, Connecticut. Please omit flowers.
