Jeannette Lorraine (Collard) Brousseau, 93, of North Attleboro, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Gerard Brousseau, Sr., who died on October 17, 1964.Born on October 4, 1922 in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ovila Collard and Marion (Levesque) Collard.A resident of North Attleboro since 1980, she previously lived in Attleboro, where she worked for many years before retiring, including as an Assembler for Pylon Company for twelve years.Jeannette was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in North Attleboro. She enjoyed walking, word search puzzles, her dear cat, "Troubles", and especially enjoyed dining on lobster. Jeannette was an avid reader, an excellent cook, and she liked collecting sea shells on the beach. Jeannette liked to watch the Red Sox, and enjoyed all of our Patriot's Super Bowl Parties where she would make the best Sloppy Joe sandwiches. Jeannette enjoyed attending over 200 Broadway Series performances with her daughter April at Providence Performing Arts Center. Jeannette's greatest pride, joy, and love were her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter, April A. (Brousseau) Arena and her life partner, Don P. Adzigian, of South Attleboro, MA; and her treasured grandson, Christopher J. Brousseau and his wife, Anna (Susi) Brousseau, of Sharon, MA. She was the sister of Rita (Collard) Sawyer of Walpole, MA; Theresa (Collard) Ferro of Harrisville, RI; and Lucille (Collard) McCarthy of Attleboro, MA; and leaves several nephews and nieces.Jeannette was the loving mother of the late Joseph G. Brousseau, Jr., who died on December 8, 2007; and the sister of the late Robert Collard, Louis Collard, and Paul Collard. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, ¾ mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Following visitation, relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro, MA.Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro, at which time Jeannette will be laid to rest alongside her late husband and son.Children's room is available during visitation and funeral service.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeannette's name to Madonna Manor Resident Activities Fund, 85 North Washington Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760.
