Jean Marie Kaszanek

Jean Marie (Gallagher) Kaszanek, 85, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA on November 24, 2021.  She was the wife of the late Harry Anthony Kaszanek.
Born in Boston, MA on November 15, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Peter Gallagher and the late Catherine (McGrory) Gallagher.  Raised and educated in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, Mrs. Kaszanek was a 1955 graduate of Brighton High School and later earned an associate degree.
She was employed as an accounts payable clerk for Neponset Valley Nursing Association at Norwood Hospital for many years prior to her retirement in 1997.
A resident of North Attleboro since 1983, she previously resided in Norton, MA. In North Attleboro, Mrs. Kaszanek was a communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mary.
Her favorite pastime was the time she spent around her home and making ceramics.
She leaves numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kaszanek was the sister of the late Rita C. Coonce, the late Dorothy Wheeler, the late James "Jimmy" F. Gallagher, and the late Josephine Sokol.
At her request, visitation has been respectfully omitted.
Private graveside services will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Harry.
In lieu of flowers, it was her suggestion that memorial donations may be made to the resident activity fund of any local nursing facility.
