Jayne Rosalie (Foley) Johnson of Appletree Drive, Plainville, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Norwood, MA. She was the beloved wife of Peter P. Johnson, to whom she was married for forty-four years. Born in the Dorchester Section of Boston, MA, she was the daughter of Leo F. Foley and Jean (Muldoon) Foley. She was a graduate of St. Gregory High School in Dorchester, MA, and received her Bachelor's degree from Emmanuel College and her Master's degree in Education from the former Boston State College, now University of Massachusetts Boston. Jayne was a member of the Sisters of Notre de Namur at St. Augustine in Lawrence, MA; St. Martin in CT; St. Bernard in West Newton, MA; and Holy Redeemer in East Boston, MA. Jayne was a resident of Plainville, MA for the past forty-three years. She took great pride in her work as a Teacher and Guidance Counselor for twenty-five years at the Dedham Middle School in Dedham, MA, retiring in 1995. Jayne led a life filled with diverse interests. She was an avid reader who delighted in her bowling club; enjoyed gardening, walking, and swimming; traveled the world with her husband; and loved spending time on Pinehurst Beach in Wareham, MA. She truly valued the company of her good friends. In addition to her husband, Peter, she is survived by her dear brother, Charles J. Foley and his wife, Regina M. (Caliri) Foley of Dedham, MA; her sister-in-law, Frances (Noonan) Foley; four generations of nieces and nephews; many cousins; her husband's family; and her many friends. She also leaves "Jesse", her sweet Airedale. Jayne was the sister of the late Leo F. Foley. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, 105 Stanley Street (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, turn right onto Stanley Street in mile and travel to end of Stanley Street), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Burial will follow in Shepardville Cemetery, Plainville, MA.
