Jayantilal Patel, 78, of Pembroke, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Gomatiben Jayantilal Patel whom he married on May 3, 1965, and who died in 2016.
Born on February 25, 1945, in India, he was the son of the late Joitaram Patel and the late Babuben (Patel) Patel.
Jayantilal was a truly loving father, grandfather, and brother who had tremendous love for all his children. He was full of wisdom and insight and an extraordinarily hard worker, having worked until the very end of his life and having instilled such great values in all his family members.
He was very involved in the Hindu community and was a man of great faith and devotion. Jayantilal attended Ambaji Temple during Chaitra Mas every year for the last 58 years and would stand and pray for 4 hours a day for 10 days straight. He also had a love for reading of all kinds of books and religions, and was a huge fan of cricket, sometimes watching it for hours and hours.
Jayantilal was the loving father of Kamalesh Patel of Pembroke, MA; Rashmi Patel of Marshfield, MA; Ushaben Patel of Randolph, MA; Kailashben Patel of Fallston, MD; and Naynaben Patel of Winterville, NC. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Shama Patel and Sneha Patel of Pembroke, MA; Om Patel and Neal Patel of Marshfield, MA; Avi Patel and Mohini Patel of Randolph, MA; Hiral Patel and Harsh Patel of Fallston, MD; and Luv Patel and Kush Patel of Winterville, NC. Jayantilal was the dear brother of Amaratbhai Patel, Baldevbhai Patel, Sardaben Patel, Sushiben Patel, Niruben Patel, and Ramilaben Patel, and leaves his sisters-in-law, Gomatiben Amaratbhai Patel and Bhavatiben Patel, as well as his extended family and many dear friends both near and far.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Hindu Visitation and Ritual Service on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, followed at 11:30 a.m. by a Traditional Final Prayer Service and Cremation at Woodlawn North Purchase Crematory, Attleboro, MA.
