Janette Elizabeth (Park) Scudere, 86, of Lincoln, RI, formerly of Norton, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph L. Scudere, her "Knight in Shining Armor", who passed away on July 25, 2009. Born on July 11, 1932 in East Alton, IL, she was the daughter of the late Arthur S. Park and the late Wanda Alma (Kasinger) Park. A graduate of Wood River High School in Wood River, IL, she worked for more than thirty years as a Telephone Operator and a Right of Way Agent for Verizon before her retirement.Prior to living in Lincoln, she resided in Norton, MA from 1975 until 2017, where she was a member of St. Mary's Church, then before living at The Lighthouse at Lincoln.A warm and caring woman, she loved cooking and was known for her spaghetti and meatballs, and baking pies. She was a member of the writing club at the Attleboro Senior Center and loved drawing cartoons. Janette loved animals, with a special place in her heart for her dog, "Ava". More than anything, though, she loved being with her cherished family and good friends. She was the loving mother of Louis Arthur Scudere and his wife, Kay (McCarthy) Scudere-Krajente, of Chicago, IL, and TN; Jeffry P. Scudere and his wife, Lisa M. Scudere, of Norton, MA; Marilyn E. Silva and her husband, Barry Joseph Silva, of Attleboro, MA; Ruth Ann Scudere Chapman and her husband, Jeffrey E. Chapman, of Edgartown, MA; and Maria B. Scudere and her husband, Eric L. Weiss, of Belchertown, MA. Janette was the adoring grandmother of William L. Scudere, Stephen J. Scudere, Anthony R. Scudere, Nicholas P. Scudere, Joanna E. Wesley, Justin S. Scudere-Chapman, Catherine E. Ladd, Hannah M. Scudere-Chapman, Noah E. Scudere-Weiss, Samuel G. Scudere-Weiss, and Jonah R. Scudere-Weiss. She was the grandmother of the late Andrew "Andy" Joseph Silva, who passed away on November 9, 2008. She was the proud great-grandmother of Campbell L. Ladd, Marshall J. Ladd, Lyla G. Scudere, Hadley C. Scudere, Francis R. Wesley, and Owen P. Scudere. She was the sister of the late Marilyn Underwood and the late Marjorie Park.
