Janet "Nan" Madeline (Cole) Issler, 82, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of the late Howard V. Issler.
Born on August 10, 1936 in Attleboro, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Eva (Messier) Cole.
A resident of Attleboro for most of her life, where she worked for more than twenty years as a Secretary at Stern-Leach, she previously resided for ten years in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
The true matriarch of her beloved family, she was like a mother to all she knew and loved. Nan enjoyed knitting and cooking, and had attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Seekonk, MA.
She was the loving mother of Michael S. Issler and his wife, Donna M. (Charette) Issler, of Woonsocket, RI; Brenda L. Verdoia and her husband, James J. Verdoia, of South Attleboro, MA; and the late Howard Frederick Gerard Issler, with whom she resided until his recent passing on February 28, 2019. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, and leaves several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are cordially invited to honor and remember Nan by gathering for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Following the funeral service, an invitation will be extended to join Nan's family from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. for a time of continued fellowship and refreshment at the Attleboro Elks, 887 South Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Nan to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
