Janet Marie (McKeever) Griffin, 82, of Newburg, Maryland and Dennisport, Massachusetts, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. She was the cherished wife of John Henry "Jack" Griffin, Jr., who recently died on October 2, 2015, and with whom she is now at rest. Born in Washington, D.C. on March 5, 1933, she was the daughter of William McKeever and Lucille (Painter) McKeever. Janet worked for many years as a Purchasing Assistant and as a Receptionist at Memorex Telex Co., Raytheon, and for Phoenix Technologies in Norwood, MA. She and Jack resided in Attleboro Falls for almost thirty years, together raising their family of three children. After retiring, they split their time between Newburg, MD and Dennisport, MA. Janet was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro Falls. She was an avid bowler, and was a member of the Women's Bowling Association for thirty years, and the Women's International Bowling Congress. She enjoyed traveling to the national tournaments each year with her longtime friends and teammates. She enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod, traveling with her husband, close friends and family. Janet learned to play and love golf later in life and had a longtime passion for shopping. Her greatest love, though, was her family. She loved being with her kids and grandkids and was always thrilled to spend time with her brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and in-laws. Janet is survived by her beloved children: Beverly Pierce, and her husband, David of Bellingham, MA; Barbara Griffin of Rehoboth, MA, and a son-in-law, Ken Karpowich of Stow, ME. She leaves her sister, Doris McKeaver and her husband, Gary, of Waldorf, MD; and her brothers: Dennis McKeever of Chesterville, MD; Robert McKeever of NC; and Ronald McKeever and his wife, Terry, of Davidsonville, MD. She was the adoring grandmother of Kristopher, Kurt and Kara Karpowich of Stow, ME; DJ, Drew and Bernadette Pierce of Bellingham and Jack Griffin of Rehoboth, MA. Janet was the loving mother of the late Bernadette (Griffin) Karpowich, and sister to the late William, James and Charles McKeever all of Maryland.
