Janet (Nana) Elizabeth (Holdgate) Gagne, 81, of Attleboro, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. She was the beloved wife of John "Jack" E. Gagne, Sr., to whom she was married on February 9, 1957.Born on September 24, 1934 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late John Holdgate and Elizabeth (Hart) Holdgate.A lifelong resident of Attleboro, Nana was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1952, and worked for more than thirty years in the factory of the Fuller Box Company in North Attleboro, MA. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro, and was very active in the North Bowl Junior Bowling program. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, selling Avon products, and most of all she loved time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Jack, she is survived by her dear children: Donna M. (Gagne) Hill of Attleboro, MA; Dori L. (Gagne) Strumar) of MD; and John "Jay" E. Gagne, Jr., and his wife, Kathleen M. Gagne, of Seekonk, MA. She was the adoring "Nana" to ten grandchildren: Joe, Travis, Chelsea, Kraig, Kyle, Tiger, Alex, Karryn, Daniel, and Gabrielle; and six great-grandchildren: Owen, Braden, Jonathan, Travis, Lillie, and Jessica. She also leaves her extended family.Janet was the beloved mother of the late Denise Lynn (Gagne) Ferri.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, 3/4 mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Children's room is available during visitation and funeral services.
