Janet M. Ashman

Janet M. Ashman (McCurdy) 73 of Plainville, MA., passed away peacefully surround by her loving family on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at home. She was the beloved wife of Robert Glen Ashman III. They were happily married for 48 years.
Born in Johnston, RI., on February 3, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Enright) McCurdy.
Janet worked as a secretary for her husband's family business, The Insulators Inc., prior to her retirement. She had a passion for sewing, boating, hiking, reading and enjoyed skiing in her leisure time.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving sons, Robert  Paul Ashman and his wife Taylor of Newtonville, New York and Adrian Glen Ashman of Plainville, MA. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughters, Julie, Ruthie and Bethany Ashman and devoted siblings, Vincent McCurdy and his wife Jane of Waterford, CT., Kathleen "Kathy" E. McCurdy Dennen and her husband Eugene of Concho, AZ., and Patricia "Pat" Malo and her husband Ted of Ringwood, IL. She was the sister of the late Jeanette Ginger.
Her funeral and burial will be private.
